The anthurium is a native of Colombia that's becoming highly fashionable in this country. Nicknamed the 'painter's palette' due to its unusual shaped flowers and vibrant colour, it's a gorgeous way to prolong the summer and bring a touch of tropical warmth to the autumn and winter. Deceptively simple, this arrangement is actually very tricky to achieve and is shown to particular advantage in its grass-lined globe vase.
